Three months after the announcement at Consumer Electronics Show 2014, ASUS finally launched the ZenFone series in South East Asia. The ZenFone 5 (black and white) will retail for S$249 (without line contract) in Singapore next month while the ZenFone 4 and 6 will be launched later that month.
Consumers who want to buy the ZenFone 5 can register their interest from April 23 to April 30 at ASUS Singapore's website and get the phone at a special price of S$199 (without line contract). Where-to-buy information will be provided closer to the on-shelf date.
The ZenFone series - ZenFone 4, 5 and 6 - are all powered by Intel Atom dual-core processors with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat) and ASUS's new ZenUI interface.
Other common specs include PixelMaster camera technology, 8GB internal storage, microSD expansion up to 64GB, Lifetime 5GB ASUS WebStorage and dual micro-SIM support. Unfortunately, all three phones do not have 4G LTE connectivity.
